Author Karen Rinehart is the kind of person we would all love as a next-door neighbor. If you have a bad hair day, burn dinner, can't find the dog or the remote, Karen would be able to commiserate because she's been there, done that, and even wrote a book to prove it!

As a successful humor columnist, she has realized that one of the most laughable things in this world is life and how we live it. And in this snappy, peppy and oh-so-funny book, readers will laugh out loud at some of her observations and first-hand accounts.

In this collection of her columns, readers will be able to access her wit and wisdom with ease. Each chapter is short, and is able to be read quickly. The columns are arranged by divisions with intriguing names like, The Secret of Life, School and Domestic Bliss. Each chapter is written with a straightforward style and dazzling honesty. Readers will wonder how she could write a book like this, when most of us only dare to think about these things!

Yet, one of the most rewarding things about this book is that readers will know beyond a doubt that they are not alone. Let's face it, there is no training to become a wife and mother. (No, don't count those home economics classes in high school!) This book reminds us that even though our lives may seem abnormal, we're probably more normal than we think. Notice I said probably.

Every reader will be able to see herself in these pages. This reviewer especially related to the Domestic Cinderella Complex, although I shouldn't admit to that in print! And the author gives a perfectly wonderful tip about Pine Sol, that you won't want to miss!

This reviewer raises a cup of Starbucks coffee in a toast to Karen Rinehart for coming alongside the Bus Stop Mommies and telling us it's all going to be okay.
