Fantasy writer, Jonathan Rogers, leads readers through the wardrobe for a richer look at Narnia! He has many fresh new insights on the timeless series written by C. S. Lewis, which he examines in this delightful book. The intriguing connection between imagination and salvation is explored with honesty and humility. A deeper appreciation of the storytelling ability of Lewis will cause everyone to have a deeper level of understanding of the Gospel message.

Each of the seven chapters examines a book from the Narnia series. The author focuses on the main ideas brought forth in the stories and provides a brief and pertinent synopsis. Quotes from C.S. Lewis blend beautifully with thoughts from Jonathan Rogers, and allows readers to see behind the fantasy to the faith it showcases. There is also a helpful bibliography for those who may want to study the author's sources in more depth.

The awe and the adventures of the Chronicles seemed to exist in a kind of parallel universe. Yet, this book opens up the mystery and the majesty of Lewis's world and makes it real for every reader. The illusions are brought to illumination through the skillful writing and analysis of the author. The Pevensie children, Reepicheep and dear Aslan will speak in new ways to the minds and hearts of those who have read and loved the series.

These pages are rich with reflections of Christian concepts and clarification of Lewis's metaphors. The World According to Narnia is a wonderful tour guide of this fantastic world!
