I must profess to being a bit disappointed by Mystic Mommy. The way the front and back cover read, I believed this to be a more of a self-help title. You know the type…this is what I experienced and did and this is what you should do. Mystic Mommy is not that type of book. More autobiography than self-help, it is really Cat RunningElk's story of how she found her true self.
Don't get me wrong, there are lessons to be learned from Cat's story. For instance, how knowing and accepting yourself will make you better person. The methods Cat used (Reiki, past-life regression, tarot, etc.) in her journey are fascinating, but not much information is given. A good book for when you need encouragement on your own journey and want to know others have felt the same way you do.
