Unplug the vacuum and leave the dishes in the sink, Crime & Clutter is a delightful diversion! The gals in this book have the familiarity of your next-door neighbors, which will quickly make them your new friends. Author Cyndy Salzmann has created characters that come to life amidst the housework, kids' homework and the ordinary headaches that make up today's world.

Six women belong to the Friday Afternoon Club, a group of friends who share their dreams and disappointments. As they meet at each other's homes, they laugh, learn a little more about life, and eat some delicious food. The recipes for their gatherings are at the beginning of the chapters and give new meaning to the phrase "whetting the reader's appetite"!

In this novel, Mary Alice, (the Martha Stewart of the bunch) is hiding something big in a storage facility. When her friends learn that the items all belonged to her estranged father, who has been missing for over a year, they urge Mary Alice to put the past to rest by going through his belongings. Little did anyone realize that parked inside the storage garage was a 1963 VW minibus. Through letters and personal memorabilia, they get a guided tour of the sixties subculture. However, this ride into the Revolution gets a bit bumpy when a shocking surprise is revealed.

The plot and the people combine to create an atmosphere of warmth, wit and wisdom within these pages. The friendship shared by these women is something to be both envied and emulated. Their diverse personalities allow for realistic dialogue, while the element of mystery adds a convincing layer of intrigue.

Crime & Clutter is better than a box of chocolates!
