For as long as she could remember, Sydney had been captivated by everything medieval. Her rickety farmhouse was crammed with her flea market finds, bookshelves laden with medieval literature and history. She even had passages from medieval romances memorized. Life would have been wonderful if not for the dream.

In her dream, she relived the lives of ill-fated lovers Gillian and Warrick, able to see through both their eyes. Believing the dream to be related to her phone stalker in some way, Sydney began learning all she could about past lives. A phone call from her Aunt Vera places Sydney in an interesting position: a security consultant would be arriving soon and would stay with her until after installing a state-of-the-art system. She knows her almost-fiancee was going to enjoy learning that.

Winn knew women liked him; he'd just never had one faint on meeting him. One look at Sydney's odd clothes and home had him wanting to run home. To make matters worse, she insisted they were reincarnated lovers. A man of logic, the idea of reincarnation was too much for him to accept. All he had to do was install the security system and leave. Yet he found himself wanting to protect Sydney.

His desire surprised him; he didn't know the woman, didn't want to know her. Granted she was beautiful and he wouldn't mind fooling around, but a former betrayal had Winn protecting his heart. As he grows closer to Sydney, he begins to believe they were lovers in another life. Will he accept their shared past and destiny before it's too late?

I have always enjoyed reincarnation romances, but never have I enjoyed one as much as Knight of My Dreams. Sydney and Winn are remarkably alive, vibrant, and enthralling. As I read this novel, my emotions ran the gauntlet from undying love to deep-seated loathing to indescribable joy. I laughed, cried and rejoiced.

Ms. Scott's ability is extraordinary. Her gift in creating defined characters able to capture the reader's heart instantly is rare. Combining historical and contemporary stories is a hard feat, making each separate and distinct yet weaving both together to create a remarkable story. She manages to overlap the stories wonderfully, blending them together into an unforgettable novel. Do not miss this novel!

Hired to prove that Laguna Vista is ghost-free, parapyschologist Daisy Malone is in for a challenge. She knows Laguna Vista is haunted; she's known that since she was ten years old. If her family wasn't in dire straights, Daisy wouldn't have taken Marcus Van Buren's money for the world. After all, how could she respect a man who turned his back on his family and their history?

All his life, Marcus Van Buren has avoided the family estate, Laguna Vista. To him, it's a constant reminder of the Van Buren scandals and a part of his nature he desperately fights. When someone offers to buy Laguna Vista providing that it is 100% ghost free, he doesn't hesitate to pay someone to prove it.

Killed when their car went over a bridge one night, siblings Jonas, Isadora and James were bound to Laguna Vista. For seventy years they had haunted the place, never knowing if or when they'd be able to leave. To Jonas, Daisy is gift from God, sent to help them crossover. But his siblings take a different view.

At a friend's urging, Marcus heads to Laguna Vista for the weekend, secretly dreading the mere thought of stepping into the place. Hostility and attraction smolder between Daisy and Marcus from the start. Yet Marcus can't help but wonder if its him or his ghostly grandfather that Daisy finds herself wanting.

Ghosts, ancient scandals, interfering families and sizzling sensuality abound in this wonderful novel by C.B. Scott. I found myself drawn to these characters, especially Daisy and her family. Daisy's vulnerability and confidence, not to mention her close family ties, screamed role model. She's not a perfect person, just an everyday woman with strong sense of loyalty and family. To her nothing was greater than family, a trait I wholeheartedly admire.

Scandalous Spirits is one of the most enjoyable novels I've read in a while. Completely engrossing and extremely hard to put down, this novel will be on my keeper shelf for a long time to come.
