In this compelling futuristic by Jan Springer, we read a story about the planet Paradise where women rule, and where men are sex slaves.

Astronaut Joe Hero and his two brothers are on a mission to try and find out what they can about a newly discovered planet. Joe is captured by a group of randy women who intend to turn him into a sex slave.

Annie Wilkes, Male Slave Doctor, is incredibly attracted to this new slave. She hears him fighting the five women who have captured him. Annie tries to hide her great interest for this slave from Cath, the slave catcher and trainer. When Annie sees that Joe has been shot in the neck, she manages to get Joe away from the women before he is castrated. But, for how long?

As all men in Paradise are not educated, and always chained, when Joe wakes up he finds himself bound. That's not all he finds, however. He finds the beautiful Annie, who saved him, totally naked and arousing him. While Annie is touching Joe, she is talking to him in a soothing manner, calling him "Green Eyes". What she doesn't realize is that he can understand her - something highly unusual, never mind illegal in Paradise. Annie takes things all the way with Joe, and experiences a pleasure unknown to her before then.

Joe has no real idea on what's going on. He tries to remember back to when he and his brothers were on the spaceship, at what point they got separated, and on how he managed to become captured. Now he finds himself bound and in a sexual situation where he has absolutely no control. What is going on here?

Annie's time with the newly-captured slave is short-lived. She is overruled by the Queen and he is taken to the Women's Sperm Bank. Annie is terrified for Joe, he'll never survive there, as his wound is not yet healed. Besides, Annie wanted to keep him for her sex toy. What will be Annie's reaction when she learns he can not only speak, but is highly intellegent?

A Hero's Welcome propels at top speed from here on in. Will Annie be able to rescue Joe from the Sperm Bank? What will Joe have to endure in the meantime? The drama takes many twists and turns as Annie tries to keep Joe safe, and vice versa. Despite the danger ahead, Joe and Annie enjoy each other quite vigorously. They also begin to get to know each other just a bit. Although Joe is reluctant to tell Annie who he really is until he is positive they are both free from danger.

The author, Jan Springer, has written a unique tale that is not just a hot romance, although there is plenty of steam. A Hero's Welcome is an incredible story filled with intrigue and anxiety. What are Joe's chances for a complete escape? What of his two brothers? What about Annie; what is her ultimate goal?

A Hero's Welcome is a unique and thrilling story. It is very interesting learning about Paradise and its customs. Annie has a lot of compassion for the slaves and also for the babies that are bred. She has more than one motive in wanting Joe. The Queen, Jacey, does some surprising things while Annie and Joe are running for their lives. I am very interested in reading the rest of this series. I'd like to know what is to come of residents of Paradise, both male and female.

If you enjoy this book as much as I did, I'm sure you'll be thrilled to see what is in store. Remember Joe's brothers? Well, Ben and Buck each have their own story coming up. In December, Ben Hero gets his story told in A Hero Escapes. Also coming up is A Hero Betrayed, which will be Buck's story. But there is more, much more.

Sky O'Kelley, a Sex Squad Detective, lived in a world where marriage was sexually consummated in front of a preacher, friends and family and in a place where sex slaves, sex drugs and prostitutes were carefully monitored and legal.

Sky's decision to wait until she was married to have sex was very unusual and old fashion in this world where sex was so free. Her fiance', and fellow Sex Squad detective, Lt Jim McBride, thought this idea of hers was also absurbed and decided to break the engagement off with her. Much to her dismay and heartache.

Sky and Jim are thrown together on a case when they have to go undercover as sex slave trainee's to find a high powered politician's daughter who was last known to be in training as a sex slave in a sex slave school ran by a man named Loverboy. While to train sex slaves and be trained by the teachers is not a crime in this world, but to evade taxes for holding such a school is and Sky and Jim are sent in to bring this kidnapper and criminal to jail. Will Sky and Jim be able to patch up their differences while working together in such close and erotic quarters?

Loverboy, while it's a fast read, is a wonderfully hot and well written story written by author Jan Springer. The characters are so well written that from the very beginning you think of them as people you might have known for some time. The sex scenes sizzle and are very hot but they don't take over the story line. Mix all these together and you are left with a very good and entertaining story. One that I am glad I had the pleasure of reading.
