Set many years in the future when families on plantations own men and women to be used as breeders for wealthy couples. These men and women are forced to produce offspring to be sold to couples wanting children. The plantation owner's first born is required to be a hitman or a hitwoman. Thus, they must hunt down escaped breeders and bring them back to the owners or kill them.
Hannah was born a breeder slave. When she realizes that her first breeder ceremony is coming closer, she can't handle the thought of men taking turns with her until she becomes pregnant, so she decides before that happens to escape and find the Underground Railroad.
Jacob is the plantation owner's oldest son. When he finds that Hannah's first ceremony is to happen soon, he comes home to partake in the "festivities". He comes home to find Hannah has escaped and his father sends him out to kill her.
Jacob and Hannah were attracted to each other until Jacob was sent away to Hit School. Now, he must choose between the attraction he has for Hannah and risk being killed himself, or he must follow the orders of his father and the Association.
When Hannah realizes that she has been found, she tries to flee from Jacob. When he pulls a gun on her, she knows she has been caught for sure. He takes her with him, although not to the plantation. Will he give in to his growing desire for her or follow his orders and not let her go alive?
A Hitman for Hannah was a very exciting read. It has a little bit of suspense, a little action, course language, graphic details, and a whole lot of lovin'! Jacob and Hannah sizzle together in the sheets, in the grass, on the veranda. Their need for each other seeps through their veins in such a great force, they can't escape it. It's a story that you'll want to read over and over again. (I know I did.)
