Charlotte Witherspoon was helping her parents excavate another temple. This time it was a temple of Karnak in Egypt. Ever since Howard Carter discovered Tutankhamen's tomb, her parents had been searching for the same kind of find. Charlotte's mother was a strong woman who always made Charlotte feel that she wasn't good enough. Most of the time she was able to escape from her mother into a book she had about the Pharaoh Amasis. She had fallen in love with the image of Amasis years ago and nothing had happened to change that. While digging in the sand, she uncovers a small wooden box. Rather than giving it to her mother she opens it herself and reads the inscription about the Tears of Amun. The Tears of Amun is a beautiful necklace of gold with red stones. When she puts in on, she suddenly gets dizzy and falls into the sacred lake.

As she comes to the surface her life is changed. Prince Ahmose, who believes that she is a gift from the Gods, finds her. He takes her home to become his wife so that the legend could come true: He who finds the wearer of Tears of Amun will rule Egypt. Charlotte realizes that Prince Ahmose is really her Pharaoh Amasis that she has loved for years.

Can Charlotte stay in this time or must she go back? Can Charlotte exist without her Prince? Can she get back to him before it's too late?

Tears of Amun is a great time travel story. It had a little of everything I love. A lost love, a happy ever after and it's about Egypt. There are some very hot scenes in this story. Who would have thought that they could do that on a moving chariot? The reader will love the romance between Charlotte and Ahmose. If you like time travel, this is the one for you.

When Lady Lily Devlin looked into the eyes of Richard Sebastian Stuart for the first time, she was whisked into another place and time. She became part of something that took her breath away. For inside those obsidian eyes, she saw a most erotic vision of herself and Richard, naked, glistening with the moist heat of raw passion as their bodies lay entwined.

In that exact moment, Richard knew he had found the mate he had been searching for. His long wait of seven hundred years was over at last. He was entranced by Lily's beauty and the creamy richness of her pale skin. He was lost in the scent of her rose water perfume and the heady aroma of the blood that coursed through her veins. Just being near her, caused Richard's fangs to explode through his gums, a sign showing his true hunger for his blood mate. Yes, without a doubt he knew Lily was destined to be his for all of eternity. His heart knew, his body knew, but would Lily be able to understand the secret he has hidden so well?

Lily despised these affairs, yet here she was. It was because of her father's wishes that she attended such parties that each year caused a stir among the ton. Each unmarried young lady was presented in her finery and paraded through crowds during this particular time of year. It was the hope of all of the fathers in attendance that their daughters would bring them a high price or at least a higher standing in society.

Lily's father, Archibald Sterling, the Viscount of Devlin, has promised her hand to another and it is this man who is standing by her side as Richard approaches Lily. The Viscount has already made a fine bargain with this man and the deal will allow him to pay off his many debts. His concern for his daughter is naught and her happiness is of no importance to this scoundrel. His wealth and stability are the only things he desires. Only time will tell if Lily will be able to see her way through her fathers affairs. Many times the truth comes at the expense of the ones being hurt. Will Lily survive when she knows the truth behind this coupling her father has made?

Richards's reputation as a devilishly notorious rake has caused many a stir among the ton. He has bedded many willing women who have opened their arms and their sweet thighs to him. His raw, animalistic sensuality and his legendary lovemaking skills have caused many a whisper and always a blush. Yet none have sated him, none have completed him...until now...until Lily.

As scared as Lily is of Richard and the powerful feelings she has for him, she is equally afraid of his reputation. She doesn't want to be held captive in a loveless marriage like her mother was with her father. She is so unsure yet she is so drawn to Richard.

Being a vampire, Richard is able to see and know what people are thinking. He almost knows them better than they know themselves. It is through these powers that he discovers the beauty of Lily in all of her naked splendor and all of the treasures that lie hidden, waiting to be feasted upon. Will they be able to find their way through the tangled web that her father has created?

Jordan Summers has written some of the most powerfully, erotic scenes I've ever had the pleasure of reading. Her ability to bring to life the eroticism and sexual energy of two lovers is breathtaking. Many times during the reading of this gripping piece, I found it necessary to set it aside and remember to breathe. Her vivid descriptions and the way in which she tells a story are something I admire so very much. Gothic Passions is the first story I've read by Ms. Summers. It definitely will not be my last. I believe her to be a voice that will forever fill our imagination.
