You are a child of the Goddess. You are beautiful.
This the underlying theme of Sylvan’s book. With her blistering honesty, she offers to guide you through the lies/misconceptions to help you build a positive self-image and accept the fact you are beautiful inside and out.
Sylvan doesn’t promise you’ll like yourself every day; freely admitting she has bad days. But the trick is to remember the goddess made you beautiful and because it took you years to build the self-image you have now, it will take time to rebuild that self-image. There are no quick fixes.
I heartily recommend The Body Sacred. It is powerful and life-changing. Sylvan’s rituals are simple, yet effective and thought-provoking. One fact, I particularly enjoyed about The Body Sacred is the author’s refusal to participate in male bashing; she stated the facts but didn’t go off on a diatribe.
The Body Sacred should be required reading for every female!
