The title is catchy, but it's the author's common sense that will keep readers turning the pages. In today's competitive job market, this book offers a helping hand to anyone who desires a better paying position or even a whole new career.

Ken Tanner's writing reverberates with authority and reality. He understands the structure of the business world and has successfully climbed the corporate ladder. After starting off as a dishwasher for Pizza Hut, he went on to become the youngest manager in the company's history. Currently, he runs his own HR consulting firm where the focus is on recruiting. With this type of business history, readers can safely trust his advice.

This book is different from the many others of its type on the market today. The career strategies highlighted here all have a proven track record. Ken Tanner has included not only the lessons he learned along the way, but he has also compiled actual experiences from other successful people. The result is a wealth of information that actually works.

Readers will look at their careers through three main areas, which progressively leads them ever onward and upward. A noteworthy issue- and one on which the title is based- is identifying a "sweet spot". Everyone has an innate talent that should be recognized and considered when making a career move. The author uses this idea as the foundation for the book and discusses real ways of discovering these marketable skills.

While these pages are filled with guidance and practical suggestions to succeed in the business world, the emphasis remains on the reader and the ability to achieve satisfaction in the job market. Ken Tanner recognizes this all important point and therefore leads his audience through some of the nuts-and-bolts of the corporate world, while always keeping their eyes focused on their own ideas of happiness and success.
