In Kelly's Baby Brother we see Kelly struggling to adjust to her new role as big sister. She's not very happy because her parents spend more time with the new baby than they do with her. It's only after she tries to keep her baby brother from crying, Kelly is able to accept her new role and even enjoy it.
Author Rita Y. Toews expertly captures the emotions of a young child struggling to adjust to life after a new baby comes into their life. Young children will be captivated by the photos in Kelly's Baby Brother while at the same time learning to come to terms with their new roles. Kelly's Baby Brother also serves as gentle reminder to parents to involve their older children in caring for the new baby so they won't feel left out. Highly recommended.
