It would be a crime to miss Arson. Unique characters and a plot that stokes the fiery fury of injustice will have readers wondering where the next page will take them.

Author Estevan Vega knows how to write horror. He has already revealed his imaginative mind in his previous books, Servant of the Realm and The Sacred Sin. But in Arson, his writing skill reaches a new dimension. He taps into the energy of the characters and gives his readers a cast of memorable and powerful people.

Arson is the nickname of a teenage boy who is gifted (or cursed depending on your outlook) with the ability to start fires with his mind. He lives with his senile and sadistic grandmother in a sleepy little town. He falls in love with the girl next door who wears a mask to hide both her face and her feelings. And if all that isn't enough, when Arson's merciless peers step in for a scene or two, the novel reaches its boiling point.

Horror and happiness vie for control, as the story moves steadily toward a combustible conclusion. While the characters are certainly bizarre, the coziness of this small town gives the plot a believable base. The author successfully captures the angst of the teenage years, and then pours some adrenaline into the plot with unexpected twists. The ending leaves the door open for a sequel, once readers catch their breath from this story.

Arson, both the book and the boy, won't be easily forgotten.
