Lan was a freak, or so he thought. He was a hybrid of wolf and coyote. While he wasn't sure exactly what his kind is, having been abandoned as a child, he knew (or felt) he was in a lower class than the other wolves. He also possessed a shy and gentle nature, letting his human lover Mason be the tough one.
A college professor, Lan had recently started teaching in a new town. This town was filled with conflicts among the other wolf breeds. When a pack of wolves attack Mason and leave him seriously ill, Lan has no choice but to find a way to protect him. Offered shelter and protection from another clan for both Lan and Mason, there is no choice but for to accept. The only problem is Mason doesn't know what Lan really werewolf. If Mason learns the truth, will he be able to accept Lan for who and what he is?
Eclipse of the Heart is the heartfelt story of a man who believes he has the odds stacked against him and does not realize his own self worth. Ms. Veinglory takes us through the story, sharing with us Lan's hopes and fears. His strengths and weaknesses. Showing us how he slowly gains self-confidence until he finally goes after what he wants. The romance is sweet and special and you can feel the strong, loving feelings the two characters have for one another. Eclipse of the Heart is well written and one I highly recommend to others.
