The latest charity calendar for the hospital's Burn Unit has just come out. The black and white photographs feature twelve chiseled fire fighters in various stages of undress. However, one rock bodied specimen in particular has all the women in town drooling-Mr. October a.k.a. Rory Crewe. Even Grace Whitney, the publicist and general director of the calendar, has to admit that Mr. October is a major hunk.

So when Grace and Rory first meet it is no surprise they have a noticeable chemistry. Although Grace finds his blunt interest both unsettling and exciting, she knows that, as he is front man of the campaign, they will be working together and must put such feelings aside. And once she sees at a promotional dinner how he comes on to every woman with a pulse, she decides to forget him all together.

But after a few intense, passionate encounters, all pretense is forgotten and the two begin seeing each other. Grace is convinced the fling is purely physical, refusing to fall in love with such a ladies' man. She wants only to prove she is not as frigid as her mother. Rory, on the other hand, falls hard for Grace. He is determined to show her his flirtatious personality for what it is-a front to encourage more women to buy the calendar.

Will Grace ever see Rory for who he is? Will she find genuine love for him? Will the rest of the women in town, especially a certain forward columnist, ever leave Rory alone?

The quick, fun romance is not to be missed. Charlotte Vye's unique point of view gets into the heads of both Grace and Rory, showing the reader the true emotions of both characters. This romantic comedy filled with passion, lust, and maybe even a little bit of love, is truly a fabulous read.
