Is Chelly losing her mind? Does speaking to a man that doesn't exist qualify her as being nuts? What about when her little boy, Bryan, who's been snatched by her ex-husband, is near fatally hurt? Is she crazy when she sees her imaginary childhood friend Nikolai take Bryan right out of his hospital bed?
Chelly experiences a maelstrom of emotions. When she finds out why Nik took Bryan and where they are, she finds miracles already happening for her beloved little boy. Yet, Chelly is unhappy, angry even, with Nikolai. Why is that?
At some point, rather quickly, Chelly must admit that Nik, albeit an elf, is real, very real. After all, he saved her son. This helps Chelly a great deal, as she really didn't think she was crazy, and is only too happy to dump all those anti-depressants right down the toilet.
Chelly has "known" Nik since she was a little girl. She has been talking to him for years, writing about him, and drawing images of him. At some point, she's fallen in love with him. Will Chelly make the only choice available to her now? Will she get over her anger with Nik?
When you read this ultra-sensual and sensitive story by Shiloh Walker, you will see that believing is possible. My favorite expression in this story is "mine to keep". As I will think of this story often, I will think of Nikolai saying that to Chelly, and the impact that it makes on the both of them. Ms. Walker has written another winner, another book to be placed high up on the keeper shelf.

When you start reading the first few pages of The Hunters: Eli and Sarel, you'll see the bond between Eli, Declan and Tori as unbroken. It is as erotic and emotionally binding as ever. Yet, the title lets us know Eli will get his own mate. Something fans of The Hunters: Declan and Tori have been hoping. What's behind this incredible bond between Tori and Declan Reilly, and Elijah Crawford? What will ease this bond?
In this astonishing book we find the answers to these questions and much more.
Elijah Crawford is a vigilante vampire hunter. The gorgeous blond vampire spends his haunts searching out the dregs of humanity - child molesters, rapists, anyone bringing an innocent to harm. Eli finds them and destroys them, always saving some innocent life; many times that innocent is a child. There was one kill, however, that would end up changing Eli's life forever.
In the meantime, deep in his soul, Eli is lonely. Has been for centuries. After saving Tori's life some time ago, a bond was forged between Eli, Tori and Declan. Tori may not need Eli, or love him the way she loves Declan, but Tori understands Eli's loneliness, and she seeks to relieve him of his sadness when possible. Tori is intelligent enough to know that Eli is getting too close, too fond of her, so she and Declan limit their visits. As Tori and Declan are bond mates, soul-bonded, we can see the desperation where Eli wants, no needs, the same. A woman who will fill the void in his heart and life.
This incredible bond is proven beyond a shadow of a doubt when Eli is nearly killed. Both Tori and Declan feel his pain, and rush to save him. In their attempts, they've extended his life, but something more is needed. Someone more is needed. This is where we meet the amazing Kelsey, the witch who helped to save Eli, and Sarel, the woman who will become Eli's soul-bond. We see without a doubt that Sarel is Eli's soul-bond. A good example is when Eli and Sarel arrive at Byron's house. Neither are aware, at that time, however, that the bond is begging to become secure.
This exciting book by Shiloh Walker will grab you and force you to exclude everything else from your life while reading this book. How will Sarel and Eli become a unit, especially once Sarel realizes the extent of the relationship with Eli, Tori and Declan? If you want excitement, intrigue and explosive passion and love then The Hunters: Eli and Sarel is the book for you. You will be enthralled by the depth of emotion, action, intensity and more in this book.
Will Byron's story be next? What about the aging Malachi, Jonathan, Lori and more wonderful secondary characters we have had the pleasure of meeting in the Hunters books? Honestly, it doesn't matter. As long as Shiloh Walker pens another story, any story, it is a guaranteed read that you'll place on your keeper shelf for all eternity.
