Andi works hard at Booth Industries as a nurse for the company's daycare. She also writes romance novels under a pen name. She has no idea why she's being accused of embezzlement. When the sexy Jamie McAdams shows up, along with his partner, Jamie experiences some powerful emotions, both physical and emotional.

Jamie feels as if he's at war - a ravenous need vs. serious responsibility. While the case evolves, so does Jamie's desire for Andi. This surprises Jamie, because he finds himself disinterested - in life and in women. As the investigation continues, Andi seems less likely of a suspect. Good thing, because Jamie doesn't want to have to fight his attraction to her.

I found Coming in Last to be an powerful and emotional read. There is a sense of compassion about Jamie that really touched me. It was hard to see Andi suffer, especially as she had a tough life being a foster child, and having spent much time in orphanages. She's accused of something, but can't seem to prove her innocence. Or can she? Because of these accusations, her work life begins to suffer, as those who were her friends no longer trust her.

I thoroughly enjoyed Coming in Last, finding it to be a one-sitting reading. I felt connected to the characters, and the pacing was done quite well. It was nice to read a strong emotional story from Ms. Walker. This book goes on my keeper shelf, while I anxiously await more from this prolific author.

Nurse Alison Lyons is as timid as a mouse. She hates her life. Even when she makes some major improvements in her life, there is a part of a life that leaves a huge void - her constant dreams of cop Alexander O'Malley. In Alison's wildest dreams she would never have expected that he share the same desires that keep her awake at night.

After Alex attempts to save Alison from a mugger - though she was doing pretty good on her own - he takes her home; they end up having sex. Alex is shocked and Allie runs away, not really knowing what to think of his reaction. After months apart, Alex finds he can no longer resist this little kitten, who ends up being a tigress. Allie has changed, inside and out, almost to the point Alex doesn't recognize her.

When these two come together, sparks fly. However, there is a problem. Allie is the sister of Alex's best friend, Mike. Alex likes his sex rough, as does Mike. As a matter of fact, they've shared women many times - before Mike got married. No way on earth would Mike ever allow Allie to be with Alex. Will Alex and Allie be able to fight their intense passion for one another?

Her Wildest Dreams is an intense read. Allie needs to find herself, and hopefully an outlet for her deep, dark sexual dreams. She wishes she were woman enough for Alex and what she expects of him - his kinkiness. After their first night, however, Allie distances herself from Alex. Alex must wonder - especially after seeing Allie fend off her mugger - if Allie is the hellcat he suspects she is. Will Allie be turned off by how rough he likes his sex? Could he even be with the woman he's known his whole life - and still remain friends with her brother?

This is no "mild" read. When you pick up this book expect hot and heavy sex. Allie's hidden desires and passion bring a lot to this book - as does Alex fight between trying to do the right thing and his shock with how Allie likes it.

For a great contemporary read, with intense characters - including a strong alpha male - and equally intense sexual situations, make sure to grab a copy of Her Wildest Dreams.
