Black leaves readers in the dark until the final page! With high caliber writing, a high impact plot, and an ending that will leave readers with their jaws on the ground, this book is masterful fiction with a disturbing feel of reality.

This counter-terrorism thriller deftly angles four main characters through a complex story, which merges into a stunning conclusion. Jeremy Waller, FBI Special Agent and member of the elite Hostage Rescue Team, Senator Elizabeth Beechum, front-running presidential candidate, Jordan Mitchell, CEO of Borders Atlantic, and Sirad Malneaux, an executive and enigma, each play a significant, yet secret part in an international conspiracy and conundrum. Filled with cutting-edge technology and cutthroat players, the plot is current enough to be on the local news tonight. While trying to safeguard national security, the characters are forced out of conventional modes of thinking into bold and innovative ways of getting the job done.

Author Christopher Whitcomb brings his fifteen-year career with the FBI to this novel with details that will stalk the reader with their reality. From boardrooms to bedrooms to the Bedouin desert, the settings shift to reveal yet another facet in this creative and calculating war on terrorism. The writing itself is like a weapon, piercing the reader with possible scenarios that are hauntingly familiar and certainly probable. The characters are ambiguous, assertive, and driven to achieve their agendas at any and all costs. Readers will feel the thrill of the chase and the horror of the capture. Classified technology, secret operations and a possible and deadly telecommunications system unveil a strange new world.

Yet, it's the final five pages that will astound readers! The author has not only created a story about terrorism; he has incorporated its secrecy, stealth, and shocking surprise into his writing.

Black is aptly titled and superbly written!
