Vicki Andrews isn't always fond of being bounced from place to place. But she knows that what she does for the group, "Children At Risk" is very important. Sent to Guatemala to research a children's home, Vicki figured the next few weeks would be routine.

Once arriving in the foreign country, Vicki comes across her sister older sister, Holly. Vicki knew that Holly would be doing some environmental work in the country, but their previous correspondences had left Vicki thinking the two could not get together. Holly is insistent that she has something important to discuss with Vicki, and insists that talk needed to be, "right now." Vicki becomes impatient with her older sibling. It never failed that Holly only thought about her issues and had no thought for other people's time and commitments. The two sisters part with harsh words. Vicki feels bad about the encounter and tries to call Holly, but there is no answer. Leaving a message, Vicki moves forward with her work.

A few days later, Vicki is researching the city's "garbage people" and comes across a human body. She is shocked when she sees that it is her older sister.

Vicki now goes on a quest to find her sister's killer. The journey leaves her wondering about whom she can trust, her faith in God, and whether or not she will survive the search. Someone involved in Holly's death wants Vicki to stop investigating. Now she wonders if they are going to kill her too to keep the truth from coming out.

What is extraordinary about this book is the underlying message of faith and "do what is right and not give way to fear." When Vicki loses her sister, she starts to realize how most of her life had been lived in fear. This was the total opposite of Holly, who would jump in with both feet without any thought to the consequences. So, Vicki was faced with a decision. Should she quietly walk away, or follow in Holly's footsteps and do the right thing?

Detail and intrigue make this story a page-turner. It is no surprise that government agencies questioned Ms. Windle on her writing. The details are so exact, these same agencies thought the author was privy to classified material.

The timing of this book's release is great - summer is just around the corner!
