What starts out as investigation of theft soon turns into a kidnapping investigation as well.
Called into investigate the theft of a million dollars worth of microprocessor chips from H-D Computers, Dan Brandon didn't expect to learn the owner's son Tommy Huffman had been kidnapped and forced to help his captors. Solving the crime may be a bit more difficult than he believed. Especially when the evidence also pointes to a drug cartel's involvement as well.
From San Antonio to Austin to Fitch City, Dan's investigation takes him on a journey into one family's history to solve not only his case, but also three open murder investigations.
Solid, descriptive with a multi-layered plot, Double Attraction draws reader into its engaging storyline. As the story progresses you're given clues, but you can never be sure you put them together right. There were a few editing errors, mostly misspelled words; although there was an incorrect character name that had me paging back to make sure I know what person the author was talking about. Other than those few things, I found this to be an intriguing read.
With a surprise ending and the promise of more stories with Dan Brandon, Double Attraction is the perfect way to spend a muggy summer night.
