Ryan and Thom had a good life together. They were best friends and lovers, just not in love with each other. They refuse to believe tough guys like themselves need the romance or love. Unfortunately for them, Ryan's deceased great-uncle Joey has called in a favor from St. Valentine himself.
Valentine couldn't help but chuckle when he realized Joey had finally called in his favor. And what a fun project this was going to be. He'd make sure those two finally admitted their feelings for one another, but first he had to remind them of a special holiday.
Valentine's Vow is fun, sinfully erotic, unforgettable and unfortunately, all to short. I really fell in love with Ryan and Thom; they are so different from other couples I've read about. Watching the tricks Valentine pulls on them, making them break their promises regarding Valentine's Day was hilarious. Hats off to Willa for getting Valentine's Day started with a bang! Now if I could only find some roses like the ones Ryan grew... *ggg*

Marie Donaldson was too far away in the universe from anyone who celebrated her favorite holiday-- Valentine's Day. Her boss, Captain Daxon Sha'gar wasn't going to give her much of anything beyond the kiss they shared a month before. Though it was a kiss that sealed that she'd work for him-- his planet sealed all deals with kisses-- she hadn't forgotten that kiss at all. But during their whole trip-- his fastest ship had been nothing but disaster-- or had it?
Daxon wanted Marie. Hard, often, and with regular coming from him and her. But the gases on this run were nothing to play with. Drift off course by a hair and they could be fried in space. Yet he has plans-- once on his home planet, he was going to screw her senseless. Unless she was mad that he lied about the sealing a bargain with a kiss. Then they both might suffer or find the fondest pleasure this side of Valentine's Day.
Marteeka Karland has created a rich, sensual story. Though brief, it hits all the points of a great erotic romance. I was snickering while reading about Daxon creating the problems in order to keep him away from Marie. The writing is crisp, clear, and arousing without being too forceful, which is fantastic. I felt a great transition from the physical buildup to the emotional, which, though short, did give me a satisfied feeling. What a terrific addition to this Valentine's Day series.
