The Star in the Tarot is the Muse and the Fey, bringing Inspiration. There is the good side of the start: youth, beauty, energy. Then there is the negative of ugliness, elderly, dispassion, lack of energy. The star can give inspiration and glory or it can take it away.
Bryn gets stranded in a snowstorm only to be rescued by an aging Hollywood star. The price of her rescue is to let the Connor and another Hollywood aging star, Nick seduce the lovely Bryn, a novelist that he's read.
For Bryn, this is a once in a lifetime experience, to have sex with two gorgeous former Hollywood stars. When she tastes the seed of Connor, she goes mindless in lust. Just what have these bad boys of Hollywood done to the paranormal author? As she recovers for round two of the pleasuring, Bryn discovers that not only are they bad boys, but vampires as well. Though she is surprised, she's not repulsed by them. What will become of Bryn and her vampire males, especially when she escapes and goes to the science fiction convention she was headed for?
OMG, Morgan Hawke does a tremendous job in this Tarot story. This was so much fun to read and enjoy. The sex is outstanding as is the storyline. I LOVE Connor and Nick. Say what you will, I've always been partial to vampires, but these two rock! This story was well written, crafted and conceived. This story was a joy to read and the sensuality was perfect. Kudos to Morgan for such a great story!

The Tarot card, Wheel of Fortune, is one of luck and fate, depending on your perception. The story starts with Candice drinking at a bar, trying to cope with what's happened with her and her friends. Against her normal nature, she begins telling the tale to a bartender there who is off duty. Candice was given her grandmother's tarot deck, a notebook of information, and a pendant. In time, Candice and her friends, Charlotte and Ellen decide to try a spell that's difficult and doesn't mean they'll succeed. They decide to astral project to where the Wheel of Fortune is and take a chance to change their fortune to the better. Of the three, only Candice must give a token to the Keeper of the Wheel.
As each goes through their own door to where they get a chance to see what will happen to change their future, Candice ends up with a slightly drunk Charlotte who is Candice's idea of a perfect love. For Ellen, it's a man she hadn't given the time of day until a challenge proves that he's her equal. For Charlotte, it's her English professor. When Charlotte relates her vision, Candice's heart slides to the ground as the vision she had of her and Charlotte is different from what Charlotte saw. When it came time for Candice to share her vision, she lies and says she can't recall it.
When Candice is done relating the story, the bartender nods in sympathy. What happens next is sheer proof that what the Wheel shows and helps people to see is oft times a matter of luck and sometimes that of fate.
Master Nage has written a well crafted story, this time from a female's point of view. He's managed to capture the essence of not just a female's desire, but also that of the emotions. This is a story that shows us that love and luck sometimes come together in a way we might not expect but might actually be for the best. Master Nage has used the Tarot over the years and this story shows not only his understanding of the Tarot and its meanings, but also too that of a person's desire and hope. I truly can recommend this story to anyone who wants something that helps them to see the path of love can be different than we expect.
