For many, The World card in the Tarot deck is about wholeness, achieving your heart's desire, and reaching your goal.
Lars, a Master trader in his world, finds himself attached to Katriana, one of his slave girls. Though both don't quite understand the link between them, it causes them both confusion as well. In order to solve the dilemma, Lars releases Katriana from the bonds of slavery and frees her. The shift from slave to free woman is great and she is taught by a former free woman turned slave who still has some measures of freedom.
Can Katriana make the move from pleasure slave to free woman? Can Lars handle the transfer? What will happen to Sasha, who teaches Katriana the things she needs to know to rule the House?
Khul Waters does a wonderful job exploring the sensual side of Slave and Master in this tale and how a Master can fall in love with the slave. Within this relationship, both Lars and Katriana find completeness with each other. They achieve their heart's desire, even if it's secret at first. This story touches the heart of The World card of the Tarot. Amid this rich and lush world, Khul Waters has given us a glimpse of a wonderful world that I hope will be explored in other books. Truly a great read for anyone who wants to see a heart's desired be fulfilled and a wholeness restored.

In the Tarot, Justice means doing what needs to be done and what's right. That you feel the impact upon cause and effect. For some it's the Three Fold Law- Whatever you do comes back upon you. For others, it's righting wrongs.
For Lance Trahan, it's righting the wrongs he's done in his past and realizing where he made his mistakes. As he's watching a man who has a shady past, he's approached by the lovely Ariel. She seems to know why he quit the force after the loss of his partner and the woman he loved. Now the bad guy has complained yet again about being watched by Lance and he's frustrated because there are no clues to who really killed his partner. Ariel's comments over the next day or so confuse him while his attraction for her grows. Unexpectedly, Ariel seduces Lance one night, changing things before he realizes that it's happened.
Suddenly, Ariel introduces him to Cindy and Lance's world turns upside down. As he finds clues that lead him to suspect Roark is a serial killer, his time with Ariel makes him crave more than he realizes. When reality and consequences hit, can Lance handle the truth?
Lydia Parks has written one hell of a tale. Though this is a short tale, it packs a wallop of a punch. The suspense is palpable and you begin wondering just who Ariel is as Lance keeps up investigating Roark. IF you like something different and satisfying that's not a pure romance, this story has it. I was guessing part way through the story and the twists made it interesting. This story really truly encompasses one man's need to bring about justice and resolution as well as come to terms about love, truth, and his own personal issues. This is a great read for anyone who likes romantic suspense.
